Performance Group Members Gather At Furniture First’s High Point Showroom

Furniture First recently hosted the third meeting of the year for its members-only performance group, Gamma, at its new showroom. The Gamma group, which is the third of its kind, focuses on sharing best practices, discussing industry trends, and providing support to fellow members.

The meeting brought together Furniture First members from across the country to collaborate and learn from one another. The agenda included presentations on various topics, such as sales training, digital marketing, and inventory management. Members also had the opportunity to tour the new showroom and explore the latest furniture offerings.

One of the highlights of the meeting was a presentation on sales training by Joe Milevsky, CEO of JRM Sales & Management. Milevsky emphasized the importance of understanding customers’ needs and preferences to create a personalized shopping experience. He also shared valuable insights on how to effectively communicate with customers and close sales.

In addition to the presentations, the meeting featured roundtable discussions where members could share their experiences and challenges in the furniture industry. These discussions allowed participants to learn from one another’s successes and mistakes, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support among the group.

Furniture First’s performance groups, including Gamma, have proven to be a valuable resource for its members. By providing a platform for collaboration and learning, these groups help furniture retailers stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve their businesses.

As a national buying group, Furniture First represents over 230 independent retail furniture dealers with more than 500 storefronts across the United States. The organization aims to help its members achieve greater profitability and growth through collective buying power, exclusive merchandise, and various support services.

The new showroom, which opened earlier this year, showcases a wide range of furniture styles and designs, catering to the diverse needs of Furniture First’s members. The space also serves as a hub for networking and collaboration, enabling members to connect with one another and share ideas.

Furniture First plans to continue hosting meetings and events for its performance groups, as well as other educational and networking opportunities for its members. By fostering a strong community of independent retailers, the organization aims to empower its members to thrive in the competitive furniture industry.

In the words of Joe Milevsky, “Understanding the customer’s needs and preferences is the key to creating a personalized shopping experience.” This sentiment encapsulates the overall goal of Furniture First’s performance groups: to help its members better serve their customers and succeed in the ever-evolving world of furniture retail.
