Kinsley’s Tool Belt…
Check out this video I made for you with my favorite new tool.
It’s called Loom and I’m using it (a lot). You can create quick videos that are really easy to share via a link.
I mainly use it to send clear feedback to creative teams. We’ve been working on a series of product videos for Englander and with Loom I can explain exactly what needs changed and avoid the potential for confusing emails. Loom has a bubble on screen that records your face, so it personalizes the experience and adds a friendly-factor to all your feedback.
This Made Quinn Think…
I watched this video on TikTok by creator Ava Mistruzzi. The analogy is spot on. Don’t waste time worrying about yesterday. You can’t change your failures or your successes from the previous day. You can only look ahead and work with what you have. Great perspective for the new year.
Fun & Folly
Best shot ever? Third grade teacher Ms. Fitz sinks a full-court shot that elevates her to hero status.
That’s 43,435 night’s of sleep. The world’s oldest person has turned 119!
“Brad was like, no it’s not.” It may sound fishy, but a man and his co-worker Brad heard a loud crack of thunder and fish rained from the Texas sky.
Foot Traffic Drivers
Need helping getting more people to your store?
Here’s an idea…
Meat Your Mattress.
Dustin Schmidt with America’s Mattress gave customers a $300 Omaha Steak Family pack with any iComfort or Beautyrest Black. This idea drove traffic to his store because, let’s face it, people like meat. And good mattresses.
You can do this at your store, too. Offer a $300 Omaha Steaks gift card with any purchase of a specific high-dollar item. Or better yet, partner with a local butcher to support small businesses. Try to move a specific mattress model and market the giveaway with a gift card.
