Retailers find success with Englander’s Dreamer collection

One of the reasons Apple is so successful is because the company listens to its customer’s wants and needs. And monthly software updates that fix all sorts of bugs and glitches are the proof in the pudding. 

But that feedback model isn’t just helpful for Apple, it’s useful for companies in all industries—including the mattress industry.

So when it came time for Englander to evaluate the performance of its new Dreamer mattress collection, the company collected and shared feedback from its independent retail partners. 

The Dreamer is a three-model latex hybrid collection constructed with fabric-encased coil support unit, layers of copper-infused latex, copper-infused visco foam, 3° Open Air micro-coils and a cool touch top panel. The collection offers eight mattresses in three colorways.

Greg and Katy Law, owners of Sweet Dreams Mattress & Furniture with four stores in North Carolina, took on the Dreamer line-up last January and eventually floored the entire collection. They said customer reactions and feedback have been overwhelmingly positive ever since, and credited the success of the Dreamer program to having “buy-in from the sales managers because it’s simple, easy and the beds feel great.”

“If you are considering taking on the Englander Dreamer collection, do it now because your customers and team will love you for it,” said Katy. “The core values of Englander line up with us as a retailer, and it’s always a pleasure to do business with someone who values your partnership.”

Sweet Dreams manager Andrew Schlesser added that it’s amazing to see something so new that sells at a super high volume. “Right out of the gate it had momentum and that’s what we love to see with new products from Vegas Market,” he said.

Continuing their commitment to brick-and-mortar retailers, Englander is also launching a new video series and wholesale webpage featuring tools and margins to help successfully sell Englander products.

“We’re searching for retailers who share our values and want a competitive edge, not a competitive threat,” Englander President and CEO Mark Kinsley said.

Trent Ranburger, owner of Trent Bedding, a local celebrity retailer of sorts in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is featured in one video talking about his marketing style and connection with the community. His store has been voted “Best of Bowling Green” for the last 10 years.

“I can’t compete against a manufacturer when they are selling online at a cheaper price, under a different name or style,” Ranburger said. “It’s a lose-lose for the retailer. A lot of these big mattress companies have forgotten us retailers. Englander hasn’t forgotten us.”
