57% tried it this time, but don’t plan to next time.
Research conducted in partnership with Nationwide Marketing Group showed that 57% of consumers who tried mattresses during their last purchase are unlikely to test-rest the next time they buy. Many shoppers who purchased online over the past 6 to 10 years will be coming back into the market for a new mattress soon. Some retailers have assumed these consumers would be unhappy with their previous purchase and choose to try the mattress first. Clearly, that is not the case.
