What’s the FAM Into?
Alex is listening to…
I’m listening to a podcast called Azalbo Soup that analyzes books written by author Gene Wolfe. Starting his career as an engineer (he invented Pringles!) and then moving into writing, Wolfe has a very distinct and complex way of telling stories and has been called one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time.
I got an Oculus for Christmas that is pretty amazing. Going to dive into the metaverse and make sure that The FAM can find some real estate for our new corporate offices. 🙂
“The Champion Advantage” with Hernani Alves
In episode 32 of Just Stories with BT, Brett sits down with Amazon best-selling author and CEO of Balanced IQ, Hernani Alves.
Aside from being a sales executive of $3-plus billion company, he’s motivated executives, sales professionals, and teams throughout the U.S . Hernani’s personal story is next level and so worth your time if you want to be motivated to be a better version of you!

Foot Traffic Drivers
Need helping getting more people to your store?
Here’s an idea…
Host in-store classes! Lowe’s and Home Depot are known for their Saturday morning wood working or gardening classes. Throngs of parents bring their early-rising children into stores on Saturday for a free kit on how to build a bird house or plant basil or tomatoes.
Offer classes on how to decorate with items you already have in your house—or how to freshen up those dated spaces on a budget. Showcase newly arrived furniture and how to style it in a variety of rooms and styles. Offer a coffee bar and invite children to come “test out” the products (don’t serve coffee to kids…unless their parents make you mad).
