5.3 Million Video Views as Olympic Athletes Put “Anti-sex” Beds to the Test

You may remember a few weeks ago rumors circled that the cardboard beds Olympic athletes sleep on during the big games are made to discourage athletes from having sex.

So it’s no wonder that with all that buzz a few Olympians put the now-famous cardboard beds to the test (and not how you might think).

Team Israel’s Ben Wanger and eight other men took to TikTok to test the bed’s weight capacity by jumping on it repeatedly.

The result? The bed finally broke.

That should be no surprise considering the makers of the bed, Airweave, have already announced that the beds can hold up to 440 pounds—much less than the weight of nine men simultaneously jumping on it.

What is surprising, though, is that the Olympians each started jumping on the bed one by one, and it took nine of them to finally break it.

Wanger’s video was viewed over 280,000 times in less than 24 hours, and the Tiktok hashtag #cardboardbed has run up over 5.3 million views, with many videos showing athletes in their sleeping spaces.

Thanks to nine dudes who just couldn’t resist jumping on a cardboard bed until it broke, the rumor about “anti-sex” beds has been disproven once again.
